Thanks, really hard to learn all the different types by appearance. This trait was new to me, now its locked in the ol' noodle.

Keith I think you got distracted from my actual question. I was never identifying anything based on a red midrib, that was Dan that said his morados looked like the banana in question based on the bud + the red midrib. I was asking which variety(s) have a yellow tip on the petals of the emerging female flower. I kept harassing because I never got an answer to what type of nanner that was. The last pic of Eds manzano was the most vibrant red on a banana I have seen, so I figured it at least warranted a comment.

Ah this is not a trait I was aware of. I thought they were generally a solid colour other than cavendish, which had some yellow throughout the pedals. Thanks for your patience while I learn.

Remove the large pup, let the small pup continue. If the mother plant doesn't flower in 2 months, also remove the small pup.
