Joy What loves your bananas besides you?

What loves your bananas besides you?
So far as our bananas have flowered, The Anoles and hummingbirds are going crazy over the sweet sticky juice oozing out of the flowers.

I have seen snakes, what other wildlife have you seen enjoying bananas....besides rats!?

I love flying fox, but I do not have to fight them off of our bananas!

Gold Dust Day Geckos here are always all over my banana plants and can be found enjoying the nectar when available. Iholenas and 1000 fingers have nice globby pilali in the male flowers so I try to beat them to it.

Pilai is a semi-jelled, honey-like nectar that is rich in nutrients right?

The Argentine ants can always be found on my plants, especially when in bloom. Then again, they can be found on just about anything here.

Wasps, bees, snails, mice, rats, coons, doves, snails. I haven't had mice and rat problems this year. I killed 9 coons since January and the doves I haven't figured out yet but they like to nest on plantain bunches.
