Default Update on my first attempt at growing - w/ photos

So about 2 months ago I decided to try my hand at growing bananas and jumped right in by purchasing 4 TCs. Not knowing anything about this hobby, I probably should've researched a little more before getting TCs and been better off with some smaller pups grown locally. Live and learn.

So I immediately transplanted my small plants into pots and expected them to start showing signs of growth right away. Of course nothing much happened for a month or so and I've been busy with other things in the yard. We also had some higher than avg temps earlier this month (mid 80s to 90) and now colder than normal. But today between rain showers (finally) I decided to take a peek and see if the plants were even still alive.

To my total shock, each plants has sent out new leaves. I figured they'd decided they weren't gonna grow in my yard but it just goes to show that Mother Nature is amazing and don't ever give up on plants. I know they're not much, but here they are in all they're (tiny) glory.

How much water and fertilize are you giving them? You said they popped new leafs between rain shower. These small pots wont hold much water so probably need watering 2 or 3 times a day; and about 1/4 cup of liquid fertilizer every 7 to 10 days.

This what I'm doing with my new TC plants. So far I have not seen any transplant shock/wilt.

I have been making sure they weren't getting completely dried out but have not fertilized since i put some in the pot when transplanting. But now that I know they are in fact growing, even if slightly, I think I will add little fertilizer.

Since this is my first go at bananas, what would be a good liquid fert at this stage? I've got some kelp and fish emulsion I use for my veggie garden it that could work.

Your fertilizers should work fine for you at this stage

Bananas are heavy feeders on nitrogen (leaf & stem growth) and potassium (root. development). But at this small size I don't think the type maters that much just use well balanced fertilizer. Dry/solid fertilizer in the potting mix is a slow release and steady food supply. Liquid fertilizer is a 'quick' boost and can be washed out of the pot when watering. I actually use both dry & liquid (miracle grow).
