Thought I bought Variegated banana plants
I bought 2 variegated florida aeae's and one variegated ta nee from
ebay last year. After they started growing, I realized these were definately not variegated plants at all. It took a couple of months to realize it and by the time they started growing good, it was too late to do anything about it. I couldn't file a dispute with paypal or my credit card company. The supposed variegated aeae, turned out to be a dwarf type banana plant with redish pink stems that look similar to that of an aeae. The suposed variegated ta nee turned out to be nothting more than an ensete glaucum. It has been 8 months now and the plants are still growing and obviously not from variegated stock. I don't want to mention any names because BKinterplants wouldn't like everyone to know these are the things he does Tried to upload a photo but it doesn't seem to be working. BUYER BEWARE! |

Re: Thought I bought Variegated banana plants
It doesn't hurt to ASK, that way the folks at least have the opportunity to fix things.
There are a lot of good reputable outfits out there that stand behind their sales. Happy customers are the best advertising, & many sellers subscribe to that as well

Re: Thought I bought Variegated banana plants
BKinterplants sucks!!!! This seller is a scam artist! I had a bad experience from this Thialand seller as well. Don't buy anything from him. I did dispute it and won. I recommend you contact eBay and show them pictures of the plants you were supposed to receive and what you actually have.
Anytime you want to purchase plants check out the great members here first. If we don't have what you want we know where to get it. Good luck!

Re: Thought I bought Variegated banana plants

like: "Are you sure you buy from me" "I sent correct plant to you" "Maybee you make mistake" He doesn't seem overly interested in fixing this problem. Even if he did offer to resend the plants , he won't pay shipping, and why would I want to pay $85.00 in shipping and perhaps end up with the same result? Also yesterday I received an email from his store on ebay saying "sorry you didn't win Variegated Musa" It showed a price I supposedly bid of $39.99 and the actual seling price. The only problem is I never bid on this auction.???? Does this sound like a reputable seller? I'm sure he's quite aware that most of the banana bulbs he sells end up dying once they reach his customers. So he really doesn't expect to be found out. He also knows that in the odd case like mine where I was able to grow the plants, by the time I realize I'd been taken, I can't do anything about it. I would never recommend anyone buy from BKinterplants or BKinterseed. I have never had a problem with Wat9228 or her other store Gloryshadow. I found all her plants to be true to form, and when I had a bulb arrive rotten she refunded me no problem. The downside is she is really slow, mainly because I think she has a very busy life. If you have patience, I recommend her. I found Thailandplant to allways sent the correct plants. If there is an issue though he is not as willing to rectify the problem as swiftly and easily as wat9228 (Warunee Khetrakarn) |

was expectiing. The told me that the 45 day dispute deadline has passed so they were sorry but there was nothing that they could do. As for buying from members on this site, I'd love to, but most won't ship to Canada. |

Also, I believe that is the origin of Musa 'Florida' that is some variegated type. I just don't trust it, and won't take it if offered free. |

Re: Thought I bought Variegated banana plants
I guess it's not just his bad english. I was going to buy something from him but I did not trust the description. he does not seem to know what he is selling, or plays dumb.

Re: Thought I bought Variegated banana plants
He is also selling a so called variegated Xanadu which is really
a variegated P. Bipinnatifidum cross usually sold under the name "ring of fire". Anyone buying this and hoping for a Xanadu is in for a suprise. I've been growing this plant for several years, and it's nothing like a Xanadu. He is also selling a an extreme variegated Musa Tanee, which isn't a Tanee at all. It is really what they call a Musa Florida AEAE. It is differently variegated from the normal Musa Florida you can usually find in Thailand and like all his plants, it's way overpriced. This one can be found for at least half the price if your patient. |
