![]() Hi everyone! Went to a nursery to try to find a good banana plant to put around the pool and found one (or two) that I'm not sure what they are. They were labeled Siam Ruby Gold. I looked it up and can't find anything on a Gold. Does that type even exist? I know the Siam Ruby is a beautiful red and green banana. But a ruby gold? Can someone identify the type I have? I'm adding a pic. Thanks!!

![]() I see that the siam ruby and margarita have channel like petioles, kind of like a cavendish or basjoo. This is more like a tube and looks more like an ice cream or Orinoco. Wish I knew so I know what to expect height and cold hardiness. I was in San Diego with my wife about 2 months ago. Loved it there. What a beautiful city. Thanks for the reply!
I do believe that this is an Orinoco that was mismarked because its not Musa Siam Gold. I found out that is another name for a Thai Gold. It definitely not that.

![]() This isn't a Siam ruby 'margarita' It appears to be an ice cream or orinico.
