Pisang Awak is a subgroup and also a cultivar.

Namwah is a cultivar in the Pisang Awak subgroup.

The Pisang Awak cultivar is different than the Namwah.

Dwarf Namwah is the dwarf version of the Namwah cultivar in the Pisang Awak subgroup.

If there is a Dwarf Pisang Awak cultivar, then it should be different than the Dwarf Namwah.

It's not. It was a naming error (by your logic). That's the problem with common names, they don't follow logic.
