![]() This is all new to me. Have many citrus trees but just got my first banana tree this past spring from Pams trees. Started out as 10" baby in 6" pot and is now 12' tall in a 30" Dia. X 22" pot. It is a Ice am now hooked and now I have so many questions. I understand that when the tree gets to about 18 months it should have Bananas. Will the weight of the bananas have a tendency to tip the pot over? How long does it take to bananas to ripen? When do pups start to develop (age)? And looking into the future, what is a good sweet tasting banana that grows to 20'? Repainting Arboretum and re-irrigating for misters.

![]() Ice cream banana. Bought it from Fast Growing Trees (Pams). I have received all my citrus trees from them and even though I paid a bit more for it I would be very surprised if it is not a Ice cream Banana tree. I think I am looking at getting another Ice Cream Banana tree to stay outside and I will try to winter it, and an Apple Banana tree for the Arboretum.
Do you think my planter is big enough? Is there going to be a problem with the planter falling over when the tree develops banana's?
