Hello All,
I am new to this forum. I live in Portland Oregon and have been into bananas for a few years. Mostly I am really into bamboo but I am branching out. I am interested in learning more about how to get the biggest and healthiest plants around here but also in growing some more borderline hardy varieties in the ground if I can get them to survive. Looking forward to meeting some of you! |

Glad you joined us! I am also interested in Bananas and Bamboo. Just had my first Black Bamboo (Timor Black) seedlings pop up yesterday! This is such a blast growing things that are not supposed to be here.
Post whenever you can and include your pics - we all like to see them. |

In Portland, try some fruiting bananas like
1000 Fingers, Monkey Fingers, Dwarf Orinoco. ![]() |
