Three years of winter wrapping has gifted me a nice result. A very happy banana grower here!!

That's awesome to see! Are you going to try them once they're ripe? As you know, they're only "non-edible" because they have seeds, not because its poisonous! haha, I love to see it.

There are a lot of growers who never see the Basjoo flower!

You bet I'm gonna try them, probably green and tough but I've got to be able to say, 'yep I eat bananas from my garden in the UK ' lol

That's great you get to see the bloom and fruit develop over your summer season. It's exciting to experience the pay off.

Mine were on a 2-5-year bloom cycle for mature plants, but an odd wet freeze-thaw cycle this winter decimated many local zone-pushing bulbs, perennials, and tender plants.
So I started with small 2-3 year pups that survived which will take a few seasons to mature.
