Default Little princess

I am in Corpus Christi for the week and saw this in a local nursery. What do people think of this banana? Is it worth trying? Also, is it the same as truly tiny?

Thanks,

Has anyone gotten this to fruit? How big was the fruit and was it seedless?

Hey there,
I do have it
I haven't tried to store this one...well...I did but it isn't a big one so I can almost guarantee it didn't make it. I have one in the workshop that is sitting there, VERY dry, low of 35 in there(never freezes), still green, and not growing at all. It will make it if you just pot it up and stick it in storage.

Definitely worth a try. Tell me if you want to know more or current pics etc etc

Taylor, can you upload some pics of your Little Princess. I haven't seen them here yet, and just love the dwarfs.

I am sure its just another name to the Super super-dwarf Cav. Little Princess doesn't infringe on the Plant Patent of Little Prince since its another name. I am 99.9999999% sure it would be the same plant.

How do you like Corpus? Its a nice place, not quite as nice as the Rio Grande Valley though.

Was it a big Nursery? I know the one I've been to in Corpus was quite large, though I cannot remember the name of it to save my life. They did have Musella lasiocarpa for sale, and some Ensetes too. It was a nifty nursery.

I had been thinking it might be a Little Prince with a pink bloom.

Here is a link to a discussion on another forum with a picture of the Little Princess. Hope that's okay to post.

I think the plant you all are referring to is 'Little Prince'. I got one last year from Kylie2X. It was about 4" tall when it arrived and it might be 8" at the most now. It is definitely different than 'Super Dw. Cavendish', which can get to around 4' or so. My LP is in about a 4" pot and is in no danger of outgrowing it anytime soon! My SDC's are grown in the ground all year and usually get around 3' tall for me as they probably get a little too much shade.
