I ordered an AE off of ebay
I ordered it out of Thailand and it shipped on the 21st of Feb and got here today. It was a nice size and all but its dormant and I dont know if I really got an AE or not now.

Gander, I did this also a couple years ago. You have to trust your sellers' feedback. If they are new and don't have many feedback you are taking your chances. Good Luck!

Gander Please take pictures for us. I got mine off of ebay in 2009 and they were both great. But I lost one last spring because it broke off and did not come back. I hope your banana that died and has pups will make it. You might ask questions here about it?

There is member of this forum, (Greenie), that has many Ae Ae growing and for sale. I know from personal experience that these plants are very vigorous, healthy, and probably less expensive than any you could find on e-bay! Why not take advantage of this resource?

Well the corm has still not sprouted any roots at all the top is dying back. I had to cut it back pat the rot. It looks like it might have a pup or two trying to burst from the corm at the base of the stalk. Only time will tell what will happen.

Well I just wanted yall to know that the corm is finally sprouting. It has been wet and cold here in Oklahoma this spring. I can see a fine line of white on the shoot so it looks like it was real. I will take more pics as it progresses. Thanks everyone for their help. I did also get 2 from Greenie

Well the plant has grown quite nicely bbut our Oklahoma weather has been hard on it and my other plants. It is under a shade cloth but still has a bunch of leaf burn but its growing. It has 2 small pups one has just broke the soil and the other has a couple of leaves now. It is so cute. As big as the plants are getting I will probably let the go dormant like I do my other bananas and cut their leaves off and shake the dirt off the root ball when the time comes. I dont know how to post pics to the gallery so I have to pot this one here.
