![]() Hello, I am trying to plant the blue banana in Indonesia, there is an online shop selling blue java banana seeds in my country, but correct me if I am wrong, the blue java banana can't grow from seeds as it's polyploid. So I would like to know what is the best option to go ? Should I go for the live plant like in Amazon or there is a better way ?
Thank You for replying ! |

![]() If it grows from a seed, the Banana's will be full of the same seed's. Probably not a Blue Java.

![]() And probably not edible!
Your best option is to obtain a pup (young banana plant) from a reputable seller, or someone on this forum. First, you need to know what restrictions, if any, there are in your area for bringing in banana plants. I'm in a place where they are extremely strict on bringing in bananas because of the risk to the local plants getting some new disease. Last edited by Yug : 07-22-2020 at 12:08 AM. |
