Question Help me understand Banana mutations

For example, Variegation and Dwarf traits usually stated to be the result of a mutation unlike traits that were actually bred.

So how do these mutations occur?
Do they occur randomly on a separated sucker?
Or a corm that was dug up and planted in another environment.
Does it happen randomly within TC propagation?

How common are mutations, and is there something that people do to increase the chances of creating a mutation?

I'm just really interested in the subject and would like to know more

Mutations are very difficult to explain. It’s a complicated process and humans can artificially induce it or it can happen naturally. For example the Cavendish banana, it’s our current Kosovar and produce a steady hands all those bananas are genetically identical and natural Mutation is highly unlikely. It’s like a banana like the Cavendish producing a seed. It can happen but is rare. Mutations can be done but it’s very hard. You need a scientific lab and highly expensive equipment in the steriliser steriliser environment. However saying that we’ve done it as we’ve mutated the grass Michelle banana into the Cavendish.
We did this by isolating specific traits and growing them on until we got a fruit we wanted. Now I’m only an amateur grower and I could never do this subject justice as I’ve never done it before but saying that I am definitely going into some sort of banana TR for disease fight in the future. I’m hoping to get a job at the Eden Project in Cornwall UK to help fight battles against tropical diseases.
