![]() That means bringing them in for winter or did you keep it in a pot and lay it down when you brought it in for the winter.

![]() I cut off all leafs and had mine in the garage over winter but I made the mistake of putting black plastic bag over the top and forgot to take it off so they started to rot at the top and unfortunately my wonderful Icecream rotted slowly but has put up some really fast growin pups. But no bananas from that plan this summer I guess. My hope is now the one at was in a pot and is at least 5 feet although no 8 like the one that didn't make it. The one that I transplanted is now in the soil and I guess it is a year old since I bought it as a small plant.
How old does an Icecream has to be to set bloom? Last edited by nph : 04-18-2011 at 08:58 PM. |

![]() I have one small bunch of fruit that I just cut the last ripe bananas off yesterday. And another one that's still getting a little bigger and not ripening yet. i think it's about 2 months behind the first one. It took me 3-4 years for the first bloom. Of course that's here in Indiana. The fruit aren't as big as they should be if they were of course growing in Hawaii or someplace they were happy. But I'm still happy for it doing anything in Indiana...
