Speaking only from personal experience, Namwah has been totally unaffected down to 35F, while Manzano lost a couple leaves at that temp but the pstem and bananas survived. Gros Michel can start losing leaves in the mid 40s.

My Gros Michel has started to lose leaves in the mid-40s F, or ~7 degrees C. Mine hasn't been exposed to to 40F/4.4C temps yet so I can't really comment.

Fair enough. In the UK its a rare-ish plants so don’t wanna kill it. It’s in a pot and I’ve been putting it inside over night then in my poly first thing in the morning and it’s starting to get silly. So may leave it at it’s around 8-9 degrees Celsius over night if it can survive 7

Did the Namwa’s leaves turn brown? What temperature affects a Namwa
?

After a 35F night there was no brown on any of the leaves. The plant looked like it might as well have been the middle of the summer. Any yellow/brown leaves here were just the result of older leaves naturally dying away.

Meanwhile the Dwarf Cavendishes:

I haven't seen a temperature below 35F since I started growing the Namwah, so I can't say from personal experience what happens below that, but this thread should be helpful just so you can visualize the stages of bananas' sensitivity to cold:

Dwarf Namwah cold hardiness
