Default forum member JP stopped by and toured my garden

this was a couple weeks ago and the plants have grown since so i will post some more recent pics too...
JP liked my aloe barbarae and my plumeria the most i think...
the plumeria was moved outside late this season so it hasnt filled in quite yet
it was also blown over in the wind the other day and was laying on the ground but i propped it back up and it is fine
i sent him home with a basjoo and a white jade pineapple

here is JP at a toronto fuit market
he loaded up on mangoes and bananas which arent available where he lives in quebec... he also bought some small herb plants

i have been so busy that i havent been able to do all the plant related things i want to...
i did start to put some plants on dollies so they could be on the deck without rotting the boards

this is my aloe barbarae grown from seed... getting bigger

i didnt put enough wood chips on the basjoo in the backyard and this spring it was late to emerge
usually it comes up before the one in the front yard and gets bigger... this year it was the opposite

my galucum kind of shrank over the winter... starting to wake up now

and unfortunately i killed some of my seedlings from uganda.... now only 2 remain... this pic right before potting them up a size

yes my white jade did fruit for me and produced 14 baby plants
some around the base, some below the fruit and also the one i cut off the top of the fruit
prolific and good tasting
it is like razor barbwire though and can be used in the garden as a deterrent for animals
when i brought the plant home from a nursery south of here i found a tree frog nestled in the crown .... nice safe place from predators

Everything looks amazing,lush and green.
That's one nice garden area too, still one of the best plumeria I've seen.
Thanks for the tour.

Must have missed your vegetable garden.
My tomatoes this year are the maui varieties.

sounds pretty much like my sourdoughs, i got 10 off 1 plant. i cant get them to fruit so far in ground, but they survive, but i have eaten quite a number of softball sized fruit in pots. if they freeze they will come back thru the roots, sometimes more than 1. and after they fruit they come back, so you probably will have 15 or more.

as for your 14 suckers. you can get them to root by just setting the bottom of the suckers in water, but it will be alot faster if you plant them in large pots with potting soil.

i beleive i might get me a couple of white jades. thanks
