One of my Apples sent up a flag leaf this morning! Looks like I'm going to have lots of fruit this year as the other two mature Apples were planted at the same time and are from the same mother!
Hey Mike, I guess now I'm oficially "growing" Bananas! I also received my T-Shirt from Smalltubes! What a great Banana day ![]() UPDATE 3-31-06 The flower is showing! Last edited by momoese : 04-08-2006 at 08:50 PM. |

Man O Man ! This is so exciting. Hope you get lots of fruit from your Apple banana plant. I have one also but I would really have to be lucky to get fruit in Wisconsin. Keep us posted on your progress ![]()

Mitchel -
Great pic! That is so exciting! I am so looking forward to warmer weather to see how my bananas do. If it ever gets here, that is. I can't wait to see pictures of your Apple nanas as they progress! |

This is the first winter and so far everything has done well. Some did better then others but no real problems to speak of.

OMG Mitchel, So beautiful It is amazing how excited I was to see your baby 'nanas. Is this normal for humans to react this way? Maybe I can blame it on my age ![]()

They are very wild looking indeed! The camera I used for these pics is a Sony F-828 It's an 8 megapixel prosumer style camera. I tried something new for the macro shots. I used the digital smart zoom with the macro. This camera uses a new technology that crops the digital zoom area but bumps up the image to 8 mega pixels from whatever setting you were on to get really clear shots with no noise. Only problem is I spaced and had the camera set to 8 already so there is a fair amount of noise. The wind was making it a bit difficult to focus too. I'm going to try again tomorrow for some better shots.
