Ensete in flower after 7 months from seed HELP!
two of my Ensete ventricosum are in flower after 7 months. I understand they will die in about a year when flower is finished (does it really take a year to make viable seeds?) BUT more important, how and why the short time to flower. I understood that 6 to 8 years was normal. Plant is 8 feet to leaf tip and maybe 4'6" to inflorescence.
Great growing conditions. Have 11, only 2 flowering so far. The best specimen in ground and best in pot are flowering. I was going to try to propagate vegetatively like they do in Ethiopia, but if in flower, doubt that will work. Any suggestions REALLY helpful as found zero on internet. |
