![]() Hi so the sword pup I planted from last summer is already close to 5 feet of stem. You haven't seen bananas grow until they're in the ground! It has four pups and will probably grow another 3-4 feet this year. The dc in in a hot & humid climate (90-100F) almost every day. By November it will be cooling down. Who's growing them in ground and has had success?
I know I'll have to wait it out.

![]() Tallest one I've ever had was about 8'
I've had gran nains get upto 8.5'-9' They love the TX heat! Cavendish don't even blink at 100F+ days but when it hits low 50s at night they slam on the brakes!

![]() Mine fruited at about five feet. The tallest leaves reached to about eight feet. If yours are pupping, I would think you have a flag leaf about to appear.
