Default Dwarf Cavendish fruit with a “core”

Back in 2012, I purchased my first bananas - three dwarf cavendish (basically for aesthetics/ landscaping purposes). The plants (I assume they were tissue cultures as they were from Santa Ana Gardens) have performed exceptionally well, but I have noticed that the fruit always has an stemlike central “core” (a really tough fibrous section that runs the length of the fruit). Is this normal for Cavendish?

Unfortunately, this is one of the few times we don’t currently have any fruit or I would attach photos. I am hoping that someone will recognize what I am trying to describe.

Thank you so much in advance!

I checked and found this tonight:

Can anyone confirm that it is indeed a dwarf cavendish? Thanks!

Not Musa cavendish.

These look to be Musa dwarf Orinoco. With a picture of more mature fruit I could confirm. Very cold hardy dual purpose banana and known to have a core. I get a core in maybe 1/4 of my bunches. The only way I’ve found to prevent the core is very quick ripening. Use a paper back with a few apples to ripen them very fast.
