Red face Do you get pups from a red Abyssinian?

I have 2 red Abyssinian plants now. The one is very tall (for me that is!) anywhere from 6.5’ to 7.5’ tall now! Sorry didn’t measure it in advance! Guessing the actual height! It’s beautiful looking but not one pup yet! Do they get pups at some point? Do you have to keep buying them instead of being able to get free ones off your own plant? Thanks in advance!

No pups, just a flower and then seeds.

Glad to know! A little disappointed to know that though! It’s alright! It still is a very striking plant! Don’t you think?! Thanks so much for your help!

Apparently the seeds are not too difficult to germinate.
Interesting fact, the plant is edible.

Really! I didn’t know that it’s edible! Good to know that I could try to germinate the seeds as well! Thanks!

Oh my god! I am so embarrassed! I honestly thought that when I saw the smaller plant that it was a pup! Not realizing it was 2 plants and not a mom & baby! Hey what can I say?! I’m only human and I make mistakes! Thanks for the replies! I would like to say, wow! I can’t believe how many pups are in one container! Congratulations!

Your correct, it's 2 plant's, each plant has a pup. One in a pot pupped for me and one that was planted in the ground pupped for me. The one in the pot I gave to my brother, my sister in law said those don't have pup's. I said, that's what they say. The other pic is a piece of a corm planted.
