Said "Welcome to Bananas" 0 Times | Central Florida Farms Hello, I recently purchased some plants from CFF and it has been a couple of weeks so I did an online search and found some pretty disturbing reviews and am a little worried now. I sent an email and called and left a message, so far nothing. Has anyone had positive experiences with this company? Thanks, Bob |

Said "Welcome to Bananas" 0 Times | Re: Central Florida Farms Thanks Bob. I still have not heard back from them. If I don't hear back by tomorrow I'll go ahead and contest it and call it a learning experience. The stuff I received from banana tree.com was right on time and in great shape. They just did not have the ensete Maurelli and CFF was the only one that did, I should have seen the writing on the wall. Bob |

Said "Welcome to Bananas" 0 Times | Re: Central Florida Farms Ah, ha-ha, haa, ahhh, memories. I got all of my bananas from Central Florida Farms (CFF) I guess 2 years ago. My experience was like everyone else's--I ordered, Paypal was hit, then nothing for weeks. E-mails bounce. No phone numbers. Then I Googled, and saw the horror show, and thought, "AAAGGGHHH! Shoulda Googled FIRST!" I forget how, but I figured out how to get the phone number of the place. I called and spoke to the guy's wife, she was very apologetic, said the order would go out ASAP, and sure enough it showed up a few days later, with two extra banana plants as a courtesy for my inconvenience. They were in great condition, very nicely wrapped, and were sent FedEx overnight. It appears I WAS LUCKY. I will add however that the "Ladyfinger" I ordered turned out to be a praying hands. Can't really complain, though. I am one of the posters on that review site (Oblofusc/Ted Avellone). Last edited by Oblofusc : 03-29-2009 at 11:24 PM. Reason: Corrected date reference |

Said "Welcome to Bananas" 0 Times | Re: Central Florida Farms Man these guys are still taking peoples money? WTF I had a problem with them a year or two ago as well. really sucks because you would THINK plant people are honest folks, guess not. They burned me bad enough to report them to the State Attorneys office, and every other agency i could find. If anyone does get anything from them PLEASE post their address online so if other members get ripped off they can go and kick their butt in person. And for others searching the internet ............ Warning, Avoid Central Florida Farms CFF they are crooks!! They will only deliver the products if you raise hell with them!! They are not a legit business!!!

Said "Welcome to Bananas" 0 Times | Re: Central Florida Farms I finally got a response and they are refunding my money. I was very surprised when Angel not only refunded my money but said that she was still shipping the stuff I ordered. I am very thankful it's just to bad that it took so long to get a response. I think it's just a really small operation and they are overwhelmed. I guess I could have been a little more patient but I have had some really bad internet experiences that start out just like this. I'm glad it had a happy ending. Bob Last edited by nick59349 : 03-31-2009 at 08:34 PM. |
