Default Bananas planted with Water Lilies- compatible?

The water lilies are already there. They have taken up the shoreline on much of my wildlife area.

The lilies were easy to just pull up to clear some space and I planted some one year old greenhouse plants (6"-1') in about 20" diameter clear spots. The soil is moist.

This is in South Texas it will get hot and dry for periods of time but the plants may also spend some time in puddles.

I can't get there often - so any guesses on the prognosis?
