The Pisang Ceylon now has 7 hands on it, while the Namwa has been growing at a slower pace with the bud emerging in the last 2 days.

Today I removed a half dozen extra pups and also did some corm pruning.

So are you saying that the mysore types and namwah keep growing leaves even in the dead of winter in the San Diego area?

OK cool as I'm just NW of San Diego proper. I haven't tried to seriously grow bananas for a few years but my problem before was I trying to grow pure cavendish types and they just halted come winter. I'm looking forward to see how Namwah, Brazilians, and possibly Mysore types do for me.
