Back up plants.

I always believe in having a few back up plants inside in case, when I uncover I find, as several other members have, a bunch of mush. Obviously, some of the plants that I am posting here today, would not survive here, even if covered, but I've got them ready for the day when I look at the 10 day forecast and don't see any more lows in the 30º range.
My camera recently died, and I just got another. I was considering a DSLR, for $500.00+, but then thought that I'm not a professional photographer, and why should I want to mess with all the manual settings, etc. I got this one; total cost, incl. tax $97.00 and change. It came with a 140 page manual, but I only read the sections:
Put the batteries in.
Put the memory card in.
Push the On button.
Press the Shoot button.
Plug the cable in to load to computer.
and I think the results were'nt too shabby.

Wait until I learn how to use the macro setting.

Your pics look nice and clear. What is a Senorita banana again? I've heard of it before but have forgotten. Where did you get it?

Thought I had all of these things labeled. The first one is Musa Margarita. Next is a Dwarf Cavendish and, last is a Basjoo. I don't know if Senorita is the same as Margarita. The Margarita and the DC are growing in 4 inch pots, and I got them from Agri Starts, at the Tropical Plant Industry Exposition show, at the end of January, in Ft. Lauderdale. The Basjoo is in a 1 gallon pot, and I got it from one of the other Florida labs (probably Twyford) at the Orlando trade show, in September.

Nice pictures!

Margarita is a sport of Siam Ruby that developed in tissue culture at Agri-starts. Siam Ruby (thought to be M. acuminata) is reported to have originated in PNG, but was discovered in Indonesia. It is different than Senorita (AA) which is indigenous to the Philippines.
