Default What do you think?

So I took the box off my Musa Basjoo's in the front yard this spring and all looked healthy, even the little tiny spears survived. I had one stock that had a little bit of a mold issue so I chopped it down lower and it took for ever to push anything up. So now standing roughly 2.5' tall this is coming out. Is it a flower emerging or a truly disfigured banana leaf?

I thought so, quite the coincidence it happened on my moldy psuedostem. Would have been nicer if it got some height like the rest are right now. It's hard to tell but I do believe it's the oldest one in the bunch. May see some more this summer or next.

How long do the Basjoo's take to go from flower to fruit (Those useless seedy fruit).

Congrats on the flower Jeff! I wish you had a few leaves in front of it though. You should at least get a nice flower for a while but, without any leaves not much else. That's been my experience with too few leaves.Good luck!

My personal opinion, it's a flower emerging for sure. Congrats!
