![]() regarding the sitting of the plant i am worried that the corm is too high...
it is slightly exposed where the lowest leaves have been peeled back the mulch is not applied yet... it snowed a bit last night i have some fabric pots full of soil placed around the stem for now to insulate need to get mulching soon.... |

![]() Create the largest well amended hole possible for your new plant.
I use a small rototiller to quickly open up the planting hole. Adding amendments and mixing the soil evenly is made much less labor intensive. Fall is a good time to prepare a bed for the following year. The plants roots will soon fill its new home.
