Default Musa Dajiao - Hardiest edible?

There seems to be a lot of conflicting information on Musa Dajiao.

In some cases, I have seen conflation with basjoo (but it is definitely a different variety), that these are in fact seedless and the hardiest of the edible varieties?

My Dajiao is not going to be a dwarf, as has quite wide spacing between leaves, but is not a basjoo either, it has quite heavily frosted/powdered leaves on the underside, which basjoo does not.

Anyone know for sure that Dajiao is seedless and edible? I've also read it has a taste a bit like namwa, but cannot corroborate any of the info above. Can anyone enlighten me please?
