Default newbie here

Hallo to all members and enthusiast
My name is Max and I live in North Rome --Italy
I'm starting to grow bananas from a couple of years and a falling in love with this incredible plants
I would like some suggestions about more species that I could grow out in the ground
We have cold winters with an average of -6/7c for short periods and long hot summers
Actually I'm growing Ensete ventricosum (both reed/green) and Musa basio
Both surprised me for resistance to cold. I leave them out in winter without any protection
Plus a nice Musella lasiocarpa that I cover when cold
Could you please suggest me some others nice species that I could grow direct in the ground ??
Thank you very much

All the best M@x

Hello, Welcome, and Happy Growing Max. An Orinoco type would work. :^)

Aloha from Hawaii. I was just in Rome and was surprised to see a very happy banana at the Piramide/Ostiense station in the area where the line is that takes you to Ostia. I thought maybe it was a Basjoo. I think I saw the bud but didn't take a picture of it.
