Default Howdy from Northeast Texas!

Hey folks!

I just started growing bananas. I grow a ton of fruit here in Z8a just east of Dallas. Figured I'd give bananas a try to see if I can get some fruit in the next few years. Growing these guys inside near a bright window and supplemental lighting from a 240W LED board, if needed, until next spring.

Tissue Cultures
  • Dwarf Namwa
  • Veinte Cohol
  • Double Mahoi
  • Patupi(Waiting for this one to show up from Tytaylor77)

Pups
  • Raja Puri
  • Cali Gold(Waiting this to show up from Tytaylor77)

I'd like to try to plant them in ground and dig them up like the method shown on this thread:

Time to put the bananas to sleep for the Winter

Sure hope it works out! If y'all have any tips, hints, other threads I should read, please toss them my way.

Hi Chad-

Welcome aboard the Banana Express.

At first, I was trying to figure out what part of Texas was a zone 28a (parts of La Palma I could understand), but then my vision cleared up and I saw it was a Z and not a 2, which makes much more sense...
