Hello everyone, this is a great site I happened upon. I will be spending most of my time in the cold hardy section considering how warm the winters here in Utah are. I have been trying my hand at multiple cacti, different trees, and all kind of strange items in the garden. I have kept a basjoo going for a couple of years now and would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on what other bananas to try here. Any help I could get, I would appreciate it.

Welcome Butch!
I moved your thread to the Member Intro threads for now since this is your first post. This will alert the general membership of your joining the organization so they can welcome you. Go ahead and post another one in the Cold Hardy Forums and let us know what kind of banana plants you are growing. There are also other threads in the Main Banana Forums that may discuss procedures for overwintering bananas. Just yesterday, I posted about a palm grower in Logan, UT (Zone 4) that has bananas planted next to the palms, with pictures of the plants in the summer and winter. Everyone will be interested in your plants, so if you have pictures of them, please post them as well. |
