I live just east of Athens, GA [I tried to enter my lat/lon in the map but it told me that wasn't recognized...will try again later].
I have several unknown bananas (I call them "cavendish" but I don't know what they really are). They grow very very well, and come back after winter without any mulching just fine (of course they never fruit). I also have a small grove of Musa basjoo I started 3 years ago from VERY tiny plants (looked like grass when I got them in the mailing tube). They do great here, and have done a little fruiting, but not much. I also have several palms - my only mature specimen is a gorgeous 7' high by 8' wide Chamaerhops humilis clump that is just gorgeous. Oh well, anyway, "hi". Dustin |

Hi,
If the map won't take your coordinates it means that we are full of members from that area. You'll have to wait until one dies or .... get pro-active, you know, make something "happen" before you can be an "Official Member" with full mapping privileges. just kidding, welcome to the coolest forum on the net .Lots of very nice people and great information, can't beat it with a stick,or a banana for that matter. |
