Welcome! So what zone are you in? (how cold does it get in the winters) You might be surprised that some cold winter areas can still grow more than just Basjoo bananas. Plus, there's also always the option of bringing them in for the winter, growing dwarf ones indoors, or investing in a greenhouse.

Im in zone 7b and got lot of "egzotic" stuff, mostly palms, lately, due to space problem, started to be more orientated to plants that can stay outside during winter, my good friend, Dalmatiansoap "infested"
me with love for bananas ...yes have Dwarf cavendish, inside, some young musa velutina, that I managed from seeds, outside one small basjoo and one that Im not sure, need verification, I think it might be sikkimensis or basjoo, got it from lady next door who have them (BIG ones) outside but she dont know what it is. today hope to get small ensete glaucum from friend (I gave him one of my velutinas) Have also one small in the pot that needs verification, probably some ensete...etc. But I dont know so much about details and "tricks" of how to sustain them for longer period of time, during winter, when I tend to loose them in closed space. (Probably too humid or to dry air). So, I need to learn..from experts...![]()
