Hi all...... as someone interested in houseplants and gardening in general, I recently purchased my first two banana plants which are doing well so far. I look forward to joining in and learning much here!
Best, Howard ![]() |

Not too far from me. What kind of bananas do you have? I grow quite a few types here as well as a number of other tropical stuff.

Well I started off with two musa saba and two musa basjoo a couple weeks ago as very small 8 - 10" plants, and I potted them and plan to plant them outside in the next week or so. So far they are all doing well with two or three new leaves on all of them, and new leaves seem to sprout up every few days :-) |

Saba might be a little interesting once it gets more mature (they're HUGE!) but I'm pretty sure they overwinter pretty well dormant. Enjoy them!
