View Full Version : Musa rosa / Musa 'rose' - edible or seeded?
Can anyone tell me if this variety is seeded or not? I get really confused from what I have read sofar.
Anyone have it?

Yes, it's edible, and I hear the fruit are quite good.

It's edible, I'm planning on getting one myself as they sound wonderful. The only record of it being seeded that I've seen is through an African breeding program that got just a few seeded ones via pollination from others. But, even Cavendish have been known to become seeding through breeding. It's just very very rare.

Edible. had some today.
I just got my own M. rose today :D Looking a bit battered from the trip, but overall really nice. About 3 feet stem at the moment. Hopefully I can get it to fruit sometime.
