Yeah, you can see where the first leaf has turned brown and crispy on that tip. But mine all get brown and crispy along the edges and they are in morning and dappled sun. The white is as it is - in Texas anyway. I just love the dramatic boldness of it, but that's just me. I have seen this type of coloration in the Siam Ruby with a half and half or so and I think it is so striking. But my Rubies or their sister Margaritas don't burn at all like my Ae's do. I do have a Zebrina that burns badly also, yet I have three others that don't. (I have to toughen them all up to live here with me)

They just look crappy until the aclimated leaves come out.
