Over fertilized or over watered, or both. Check the soil. Make sure that it has good drainage. Since it's in a pot, check if you can see the bottom soil. If not, gently put the pot(plastic - it won't work on clay pot) on its side, gently roll the pot while applying gentle pressure on the side to loosen the soil from the pot, and gently pull out the plant to expose the bottom roots and soil.
If they're pretty wet, gently shake out the wet soil (at least 50%), avoid damaging the roots as much as possible. (Dusting or spraying with systemic fungicide, optional). Replant the plant in the pot using new potting soil. Do not water until the top 1" of the new soil is dry. Bagged potting soil usually has enough moisture to last the plant at least a couple of days. Place the plant in a warm, bright area, but away from direct sunlight.
