I dont have the answer to the first part of your question. My Ornicos got here as large corms at the end of march and some in april. So far the 3 largest have offered up a 3 ft pup and the beginnings of three more pups. I dont know the age of the corms however as to how long it takes from a "new" plant to start pupping. I suppose a lot depends as well as to where they are located, heat,light and general care.
