Three weeks ago I removed a nicely variegated offshoot for in-ground planting that had a small nub on it. If the nub is left on a newly transplanted offshoot it sometimes goes dormant for an extended period of time but it was late in the evening so I left it and removed it for potting about ten days later. It's getting close to producing it's first leaf and it's looking for a new home.
It will be shipped bare-root.
It's currently planted in clean coarse sand which provides plenty of air to prevent any rotting and it's got a top layer of wet horse manure to assure proper soil moisture for rapid growth.
