Default Re: Musa Basjoo's came in today!!!

I will definitely let you know how they overwinter. I plan on just cutting them back to a foot and mulching over. Now I'm wondering if I should cover them with a tarp or not. The tarp could keep out moisture, but if moisture gets underneath, it also will trap moisture. The coldest we got the last two winters was about -5F. Although in the winter of 1996 we had -26F. Lets hope that doesn't happen.

I'm probably going to have about 30-40 basjoo's by the end of summer.
