I grow them in containers in zone 5/6.
For me this is a hot weather plant tolerating heat and sunlight.
It is one of the first plants along with bordelons to react to short days and cooler fall nights.
The plant will reward you with many pups.
My plants are overwintered indoors under led/cfl lamps.

You should do well with it.
