I like Orinocos as well after reading that they can overwinter in zone 8. I am just north of that in zone 7a. I have kept two young dwarf Orinocos potted and alive all winter indoors but am anxious to get them back outside. Even tho' chances are high that they won't make it outdoors over next winter in my zone, I am going to try anyway. From what I gather, dwarfs are not much different, just more manageable in size from regulars.

I'm nervous about Orinocos myself, I know musa basjoo does well here but Orinocos I haven't heard much of at all and I'm not entirely sure how well they do in a wetter climate but from what I know is apparently people down in Wilmington, North carolina plant them out so I'm assuming it will do well for my area since I'm not too far from there.
I have a super dwarf cavendish that I'm just too nervous to even let outside in general because of bugs since I keep it in a pot indoors and I hate spider mites and other leaf loving bugs!
