Ull throw my .02 in.. for me it doesnt matter what fert you use.. bananas require certain amounts of NPK to grow, and you can calculate how much to give it based on the percentage of NPK in each blend. For 10-10-10 you would feed slightly more than if using say 13-13-13. When a plant is fruiting, it is common to feed only potassium.. using something like MOP. If you want detailed advice of what to feed, how much and when look at TyTaylors fertilizer sheet on his page. You can adapt it to whatever you have available with some simple math.
