It is what it is. And it will be what it will be. if you can do the following, plant it. Nice well draining soil that will be moist but not soggy, and somewhere will it will be 80F or more so that it is stimulated to grow, and when new leaves emerge, they will need sun. And, as I said, it will do what it will do. Aside from providing the right conditions, you don't have any control of this situation.
