I grow several of those including the Ube yam. Last one I pulled right before winter gave me nearly 40 pounds of roots. I have pics somewhere. Wait till the second year if you using bulbils. First year is small in comparison to the second year which really takes off.
100 cuttings should really give you good odds. Hope they grow well for you, dont forget to post updates.
