A pup is pushing, but the short pstem stump isn't???? .... I would clean the stump back to make sure the core is green above the corm. If found to be dead into the corm more remedial actions may be required to save the corm & pup.



... This is exactly the way corms in trouble try to save themselves by pushing pups for new roots before their stored energies are depleted.
