I myself have been giving plants to the poor. Last year I handed out about 100 and this year probably less. Next year I plan on at least 300. Just for my small numbers took a lot of work traveling and ordering. If you are able to get at least one thousand plants in the ground this year they will multiply pretty fast and you could have as many as 6000 or more by this time next year. Especially in Colombia. If in the meantime you find a couple plants here and there I would get them. Here is our local company that does cultures. Find out if you can order from them and find out how to get them shipped down. FHIA varieties are probably going to be the best bet IMO. I see Mona Lisa and GoldFinger on their list and those should be pretty good down there.
