Welcome neighbor--well kinda.
I'm hoping to get many of my "mysteries" in the ground soon but even in pots they're doing well. I know Dwarf Cavendish is supposed to be very cold intolerant but I was growing a nice one in Jacksonville for a year or so. (We got snow that winter but a tarp tossed over her worked; it helped that she was in a protected area. No, I don't know if she ever produced there but she was growing strong when I left her and my little tree frog behind.

. In other words--plant strategically and be prepared to protect sometimes and you might become a zone pusher, too. Hehe, I'm about to go dig ramp roots in WV and play with them here in Titusville; they are not "hot" lovers at all but even if I have to find space in a fridge to store roots during our hellish summers I will because I do love ramps.
