I just installed a new feature called BananaBucks.
You earn BananaBucks for posting and replying to threads. You also earn for referrals and for other actions and interactions with the site (if you refer someone, have them give your username, not your real name, in the "referred by" field on the registration form). You can also donate them to others, use a banking and loan system, among other things. It's very robust, and the more you interact with the Bananas.org website, the more you earn. There are some things, such as picture uploads, and giving "
thanks", and saying "
welcome", that will be enabled as well. The system will be fine-tuned over the course of this week, and occasionally will be adjusted in the future as well. So if you think you should be earning for something, and your not, send me a message and I'll go over it with you and let you know what to expect, etc.
Basically the BananaBucks will enable you to do different things.
We're going to be launching an auction platform shortly and the points will enable you to get featured listings, for example.
It's a framework that allows us to do many many new things with the site and will offer a lot of fun interaction abilities.
BananaBucks will also be allowed to exchange for live banana plants.
I'll post more about this soon, such as eligibility requirements, rates, etc.
