Default Variegated Namwa

When looking for fruit trees, I noticed one variegated banana among a huge bunch of namwas that were in pots. The owner of the place said it was indeed a variegated namwa and that they didn't do well for him and I was able to purchase it for a great price. After I planted it, the new leaves came up solid green. A couple of weeks ago, I moved the plant to a shaded area with better soil and it put out two new leaves that are variegated. Has anyone successfully fruited a variegated namwa?
